Wondering how much hand luggage your kids need? Since we are a family and baby-friendly hotel, leave everything to us. We’ll provide complete equipment for the little ones on request in advance.
Cots, steps to the sink, high chairs to the table, changing mats, bathtubs, potties or toilet reducers are available with us. We are also happy to lend kettles and microwaves if required.
Swings, slides, a trampoline and other climbing frames will be appreciated by kids in the Salamandra Resort, especially in summer. The playground is near the hotel. So if your little one gets bored of cycling, sledging or skiing, they can have fun on the playground, where they’ll meet new friends and play.
Colouring books, colouring books, cuddly friends and other toys await your kids in the kid's corner of Hotel Salamandra. Parents, as well as little ones, will appreciate the size of the play area - the space for games is above standard. On selected dates, a team of professional animators and our mascot, Hugo the Salamander, is on hand for your little ones.
After a good and hearty bike ride or a skiing holiday, your little one needs to relax, too. Take advantage of the wellness centre at Hotel Salamandra****, close to the ski slopes. Kids will appreciate the swimming pool with a slide, as well as the wide range of kid's massages, which will make them feel like "grown-ups" for a while.
Kids can spend active time together with their parents at Salamandra. It just depends on their age and interests, which sport or activity they decide to do, the necessary equipment can be rented on site, the instructor must be booked in advance:
The multifunctional playground in our resort is just right for collecting family experiences together - and trophies, too. In summer you can play football, in winter hockey. We'll gladly lend you the jerseys and all the necessary equipment.
We also think of the little ones and want them to have the best possible memories in the snow.
We offer a practical ski school for adults and kids. Experienced instructors will guide kids from the basic stance through the first turns to a smooth ride on the slope. They’ll also teach them how to behave considerately and safely on the slope.
You can choose individual or group lessons. For more demanding clients, we have VIP ski lessons available, where you or your kids will be given the best of the best lessons from the best of the best instructors.
The ski school can be found at the valley lift station, where we’ll be happy to give you more information and answer any questions you may have.
A proper winter includes proper ice, and you'll find it at Salamandra! You can skate with your family and friends on the 38 x 18 m artificially cooled ice rink for just € 2/hour. Skating at the bottom of the ski slope is a wonderful experience, and many kids have ventured there to try skating for the first time. Or come and play a proper game of ice hockey! All you have to do is pack skates along with your skis for your skiing in the Salamandra Resort. Actually, you don't even have to - we'll happily lend them to you along with your hockey jerseys.
To keep your kids entertained and to ensure that you, too, can relax undisturbed, we provide an animation programme for kids on selected weekends, holidays, vacations and every day throughout the summer. Our experienced animators will care for your kids and, of course, our favourite mascot - Hugo the Salamander.
In the summer months, there are animations for kids every day. In the evenings, adults can even join in with fun quizzes or witty competitions.
Animators are also with us during the peak ski season, so if your kids are not skiing fans or are still too young, they can fill their day with other types of entertainment.
Our mascot, Hugo the Salamander, is a friend at first sight. On selected dates, he’ll delight your little ones on selected dates with his presence and original stunts. Hugo knows fascinating mining tales, but he is also an expert at kid's games and knows well that whoever obeys deserves a little surprise. Kids will never forget a day spent with Hugo.
Throughout the year, kids can look forward to the various events we prepare for them at Salamandra.
We dedicate the first weekend of every June to kids, for whom a rich programme is always prepared. Craftsmen demonstrate their traditional arts, and firefighters stage a mock call-out. We organise a concert for kids, sports and entertainment activities and many animations throughout the day.
Salamandra and the surrounding area are tailor-made for bike trips, so we focus on services related to cycling. For kids who want to improve their cycling skills or try more adrenaline-fuelled versions of cycling, we organise a Bike Camp with professional instructors. Over a few days, kids will learn how to cycle and try out the pump track or flow trail.
In the summer, we prepare themed weekends for kids. They can get acquainted with traditions and crafts to experience how life used to be. They search for treasures and get to know the mining history in the area. Our little visitors also learn how to protect nature and care for animals.
Smejko and Tanculienka, Miro Jaroš and many others have already been guests at Salamandra; they have played happy concerts for the kids. Apart from having fun, kids also learn something at their performances and take away a lot of unforgettable experiences.
